Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa has kindly sent me to Beijing for 3 days/2 nights in July 2006 for a Director of Events Management Workshop held in China World Hotel. I must say that the workshop was very interesting and informative and from there, I have met all my counterparts from all over Shangri-La.
Not to forget, shopping was great there ... especially in the silk market and the electronics departmental store ... we were all so excited and happy because we have managed to buy a MP4 for only RM90 ... what a bargain !!! However, when we came back to Malaysia, the MP4 is so lousy that it cannot be played ! What a rip-off !Other than that, we have bought plenty of silk stuff such as cushion covers, tissue box holders, table runners and many others. My other friends have bought many handbags ... from Gucci to Prada and from LV to Coach ....
